Abstract

In the current economy, under the influence of subjective and objective socio-economic factors, it is one of the most common causes of the global food crisis. Especially in the context of many business risks, it is essential to ensure investment in research and agricultural enterprises to ensure food security. The study collected data from countries in the Southeast Asian region from 2014 to 2022. It used the FGLS regression method to analyze empirically to consider whether investment in agricultural research and development affects food security or not. The results show that investment in agricultural research and development increases the country's food security. This study enriches and expands the research on factors affecting food security from the perspective of consumer demand in ensuring national food security.
